How the count works
The calculator counts calendar days from the start date up to the end date. By default the start date counts and the end date does not, so Monday to Wednesday is 2 days. Tick "Include the end date" if both the first and last day should count, which gives 3 days for the same range. Which method is right depends on the situation: a contract that runs "from June 1 through June 30" usually includes both days, while the time elapsed between two moments does not.
Leap years and month lengths
Leap years, and months of 28 to 31 days, are handled automatically, so a range that spans February 29 counts correctly. The "years, months, days" figure counts full calendar months first and then the remaining days.
Weekdays and business days
The weekday figure counts Monday through Friday. It does not remove public holidays, since those differ by country and employer, so treat it as an upper limit for working days and subtract holidays yourself. For deadlines that specify "business days", check how your organization or contract defines them.
